Every visual or archival object should have a verifiable record of creator, object, source, rights, and permission.

• photographer or creator;
• object or specimen;
• courtesy;
• rights status;
• HOK Asset ID;
• provenance and digitisation source;
• basis for reproduction.

PUBLIC DOMAIN · HOUSE-OWNED · LICENSED · PROVIDED WITH PERMISSION · REFERENCE USE ONLY · RIGHTS REVIEW REQUIRED.

“Old” does not automatically mean public domain. Ownership of an object does not necessarily transfer copyright or a reproduction right.
